Google Maps location search and transfer estimates

The primary custom flow uses Places API (New) and Routes API from Google Maps Platform. UK locations include Northern Ireland; the rail dataset still covers Great Britain only. Google content is attributed in the form and result. See Google Maps terms and Google privacy policy.

Optional postcode fallback: Postcodes.io

Custom postcode checks use Postcodes.io for England, Scotland and Wales. Great Britain postcode data is available under OS OpenData terms. Postcodes.io source code being MIT licensed does not replace the data licences.

Northern Ireland BT postcode checks are not currently available in the Postcodes.io fallback. Google location selection is separate. Commercial use requires an appropriate NI Land & Property Services licence. We reject BT inputs before contacting Postcodes.io. This does not remove Northern Ireland from our UK event catalogue scope. See Postcodes.io data licences.

The 2,608-station snapshot is an adapted database offered under the Open Database License 1.0. The complete adapted database is downloadable: station names and codes and station coordinates. Licence text; source commit and methodology.

This community-maintained list may lag openings, closures or renamings. Distances are approximate straight-line distances, not walking routes. We never infer your local travel time from them.
